I sent some time in Sorrento with my parents at the end of July 2009. We had been to some of the best restaurants along the Amalfi Coast and previously had visited Don Alfonso in Santa Agata. What I loved about the restaurant Il Buco is not only the outstanding food but the wonderful service by the management and staff, especially from Gaetano. Not only was the food divine, but the atmosphere was welcoming nd there was no stuffyness in the restaurant. We had recommended a great wine from Tuscany also called Primo Giorgio. Needless to say we ate here more than once and will return again next year. First Class

We have just arrived back from a weeks holiday in Sorrento and ate at this restaurant 3 times. We had a fantastic experience each time with wonderful food and professional, friendly service from Gaetano who is pictured at the bottom of this page. If in Sorrento again we will definately be back. Thankyou to all the staff for making our stay in Sorrento a very special experience.

We had dinner here just two weeks ago. We had a fabulous dinner with excellent service. Our waiter (pictured on this page) was excellent. One of our dishes was the vegetable soup. It was amazing. I wonder if the chef would share the recipe. I would love to make it at home.
